The crown on the work for the finalisation of the Master of Shipping and Transport programme is the thesis project. Students are asked to find their own thesis project, in an area of their interest, preferably within the context of a relevant management problem. The thesis project takes approximately 14 weeks. We start off with a course on how to manage this project and how to structure a thesis. From literature review, data collection and field research, students are challenged to set up a research. Participants are stimulated to find a thesis project in their home country and/or within the company they are working for.
The thesis project finishes with a defence in front of an audience. Students will present the results of their research and thesis and explain what outcomes have been added to the general knowledge in the maritime and logistics fields.
