How can I enrol for the MSc Shipping and Transport?
The part-time and full-time program start once a year.  You can send your application form in before the deadline, which is always mentioned on our website and on the application form. On the basis of the applications, a pre-selection will be made. Selected candidates will be invited for an intake interview by phone, Skype or face-to-face. Based on this interview you will be accepted or rejected.

When is the application deadline?
Application deadlines are different every year and per intake. Please keep track of our website ‘How to apply’ to know the latest date your application can be considered. Sending incomplete applications will delay the process and are therefore not accepted.

What is the background of the lectures and guest speakers?
Our Academic Board consists of key persons from the industry and the academic society. They ensure that the quality of the program makes your time and money a worthwhile investment.  We have a diverse group of renowned guest speakers, such as Prof. Ronald Waterman (Coastal Development and Land Reclamation), Arjen Uijtendaal (Director at International Ship Recycling Association (ISRA)) and Prof. Luc Cuijvers (specialized in Ocean Management).

What nationalities do the students of the MSc Shipping and Transport have?
The students are from different background and different cultures. This strongly enriches the diversity in the Master of Science Program. Around 80% of our current students comes from non-European countries, such as Nigeria, Brazil, South–Korea, Indonesia, South-Africa, Ghana, Colombia. Besides this, around 20% of our students comes from EU countries; at this moment, most of the European students are from Spain and Greece.

What is the women-men ratio of the MSc?
Our ratio woman-men shows a shift in the current situation. Where the shipping and transport industry is mainly dominated by men, more and more women are getting involved in the industry. In our classes approximately 30% of the students are women.
