Target group

The Master of Science Shipping and Transport is aimed at everyone who meet the admission requirements (a relevant bachelor degree or a bachelor degree and two years of work experience in a relevant business sector) and wishes to extent his or her knowledge and management skills in the maritime, transport or logistic sector, such as:

  • Seafaring officers, needing the necessary tools to take up an onshore occupation.
  • Current transport and logistics professionals seeking to extend their knowledge on shipping, supply chain management and multimodal transport to and improve their management competences.
  • Employees in specialised or technical related functions, who want to make the step towards a managerial function in the shipping industry.
  • Port authority and government officials.

The second target group are students in possession of Bachelor degree in Logistics or Maritime Operations. Students graduated from the programs ‘Maritiem Officier’ and ‘Logistics Engineering’ can apply directly.

Business course

The Business course Anatomy of Shipping and Transport is especially suited for financial, legal and consultancy professionals to offer insights into the drivers behind the shipping and transport industry. Upon completion of the course participants will be conversant with specialists on ship operations, such as relating to surveying and safety or fleet management. Also they will have gained the latest insights into innovations in maritime trade and transport.
